Mr.
Li graduated from Remin University of China in 1982, then recruited
by the Economic Research Center of the State Council of China. As
a research fellow, he spent 5 years in the research center and conducted
various economic reform policy researches, traveled many provinces
and cities in China, and had numerous publications.
In 1986 Mr. Li was invited
by Winston Lord, the ambassador of the United States in China, to
participate the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program. He studied
one year in Boston University. Mr. Li returned to the research center
in 1987. In the same year, he got the fellowship from Brandeis University
to study international finance and earned master degree in 1989.
Thereafter, Mr. Li was admitted as a Ph.D. student by Boston University.
He started investment research and practice with Bank of Boston,
then Acadian Asset Management while he was a student.
He joined Brown Brothers
Harriman as a senior analyst in 1991. After 4 years, he joined the
Global Equity Group in Oppenheimer Funds as a Vice President and
Portfolio Manager. He has been responsible for several hundred million
US dollars and two funds. Mr. Li was often invited by the media
such as television, radio and newspapers to give comments about
the investment issues. He also presented in various conferences
and meetings both in the US and in China.
