In the midst of the U.S. economy recession since 2001, the U.S.
telecommunication industry has experienced the worst downturn in one
hundred years. The 2003 CIE-USA/GNYC Convention is to strengthen the
technical and business relationships between the Asian-Pacific
Regions and North American industries, institutions and academia.
Specifically the Convention provides a forum to bring together the
technical experts, scientists, engineers, and industry leaders from
Asia-Pacific Regions and North America to exchange advancements in
emerging/advanced technologies including teclecommunications,
wireless and optical communications, nanotechnology,
biotechnology/pharmaceuticals, e-commerce/e-business, software
engineering and other business experiences. The ultimate goals are
to build technology alliances and jointly explore new global
business opportunities in the recovery and aiming to meet the
challenges of the next wave of economic prosperity. |
